Product Portfolio Manager Chemicals/ Textile Care

The growth of the company led to an impressive portfolio and large scale of products, varying in chemicals, parfum, labels, packaging….. To manage this variety in our important Industrial Laundry Division, Christeyns is looking for a Product Portfolio Manager Chemicals/ textile Care

Your Job:

• Your main objective is to create a “lean and mean” portfolio for our Textile Care division. You are looking for the right balance between the customer expectations, cost effectiveness and feasibility.
• Pro-active portfolio management integrates the harmonisation of labels and packaging, the chemical composition, the look and feel of the product, and is a result of your close cooperation with R&D, Marketing and Production.
• You are a key player in the development of new products, introducing your market intelligence, white spot analysis on the customer and competition level. This way you support the setting of a right price and the boost of sales.
• You coordinate the launch of new products, article creation, article release, to the creation of a technical data sheet and the forecast management.
• On the other end of de life cycle, you manage the fade out of obsolete products. You decide on the buying behaviour of the customer, the gross margin, the degree to which there is a substitute available.
• Analysis and Integration of the product portfolio of newly acquired companies to the corporate portfolio.
• This position requires cooperation with all Christeyns companies in different countries, and several departments, such as Marketing, R&D, Sales, Production, Regulatory Affairs, ….
• You are reporting to the Business Unit Director Laundry.

Your profile:

• You have a solid background in chemistry, and have at least 5 years of experience in the industry.
• You are fluent in English. Knowledge of French or Dutch is an asset.
