Business Analyst Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations

As an experienced Business Analyst Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations you become the vital link between our business and our application landscape. You translate business needs into workable functional solutions, you optimise processes and you help us make the move to a renewed ERP landscape with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations a success. This is an in-house role within our own IT team: no consultancy, no rotating clients, but one landscape you help build and get to know inside out. You join at a pivotal moment: we are renewing our application landscape and taking a major step with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations; you get the room to help shape it.

What you’ll do

  • You think and build along with the organisation’s growth: you help shape the strategic projects through which we renew our application landscape towards Dynamics 365 F&O, from analysis and functional design through to roll-out.
  • You analyse business needs and translate them into clear functional specifications and solution proposals.
  • You contribute to the design, configuration, testing (functional and UAT) and documentation of the new Dynamics 365 F&O solution and the surrounding applications.
  • You support key users and end users with training, adoption and first-line support as their first point of contact.
  • You coordinate the change management process from request to roll-out; you safeguard quality, planning and impact.
  • You steer external vendors and specialists for build work, integrations and interfaces, and continuously spot improvement opportunities.
  • You will be working full-time on-site at our head office in Ghent.

What you’ll work with

  • D365 F&O Finance
  • Supply Chain
  • Power Platform & Power BI
  • Azure DevOps
  • Lifecycle Services (LCS)

What you bring

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a business or functional analyst, with proven hands-on experience in Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX).
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes and modules (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets) and translating them into system solutions.
  • Experience with requirements engineering, fit-gap analysis, functional design and testing/UAT.
  • Analytical, structured and strong in stakeholder management; you bridge business and IT with ease.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with a D365 F&O implementation or roll-out is a strong plus.
  • MB-310 certification (D365 Finance Functional Consultant), obtained or a willingness to obtain it; MB-330 (Supply Chain) and/or MB-320 (Manufacturing) are a welcome addition.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including D365 F&O production and supply-chain processes (planning, BOMs, inventory), is a strong plus in our production-driven setting.
  • Affinity with Power Platform, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Lifecycle Services (LCS) and basic SQL.
  • Experience with Agentic AI (AI agents / agentic automation) is a plus; it is increasingly making its way into our environment.
  • Experience with data migration, integrations and working in Agile/Scrum.

What we offer

  • A key role in a financially healthy, international family business with short decision lines.
  • The chance to help shape strategic projects and deepen your expertise, with a training and certification budget (including Microsoft certifications).
  • A competitive, market-aligned salary based on your experience, complemented by an attractive package of fringe benefits (e.g. company car or mobility budget, meal and eco vouchers, group and hospitalisation insurance, net expense allowance).
  • Hybrid working with flexible hours and a healthy work-life balance.
  • A clear dual growth path: deepen your expertise towards lead or solution architect, or grow into application manager and broader IT management.
