How clean is the average UK home?
It’s that time of year when we Brits tackle the big ‘Spring Clean’, all those cleaning jobs that we only do once a year or have left for a rainy day. We are, in general, a house proud nation, with manicured lawns, trimmed hedges and are DIY enthusiasts, at least on Bank Holidays.
Our home is our castle, as the saying goes, but it seems we may not be doing as much cleaning as we think we are. Mintel’s 2016 survey stated that the average Brit spends four hours and seven minutes a week cleaning indoors.
