Modern multifunctional building in Hungary
The new building for Christeyns Engineering in the Hungarian capital Budapest is equipped with computer-controlled machines which we can use to make our dosing equipment ourselves. “This is a big step forward for Engineering and the entire group,” says our CEO Alain Bostoen.
“The multifunctional building has a production hall of 1,200 m², 600 m² of office space and a 500 m² warehouse to stock the components we need for production,” says our Hungarian colleague Peter Somodi, Managing Director of Christeyns Hungary. The complex is located close to Ferenc Liszt Airport at an exit off Budapest’s outer ring road and so is easy to access. It has a heating and cooling system with a heat pump, ventilation with a heat exchanger, LED lighting and triple glazing. This is good for the environment and keeps energy costs under control.
Currently there are 24 people working in the building. The office area has a meeting room for 30 people. We can organise technical training courses, regional meetings and sales department events there. The building also houses a laboratory for more advanced development and testing.
“The most important thing is that we take charge of the development and production of our dosing equipment instead of outsourcing it,” says Peter. We will use three new computer-controlled CNC machines to make our Flux-Compact, Flux-Star and Flux-Multi dosing systems. These provide automatic dosing of liquid chemicals for washing machines, washing tunnels and car washes.
We will be able to develop and manufacture equipment for the food and beverage industry and for our professional hygiene and medical divisions.
