We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Tecnoclean Colombia and its Ecuador subsidiary, effective 24 September 2024. This strategic move marks a significant step in Christeyns’ expansion into the Andean laundry and professional hygiene markets, strengthening our presence in Latin America. By bringing Tecnoclean into the Christeyns family, we are excited to deepen our collaboration and offer more innovative solutions across the region.

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Bogotá, Tecnoclean has established itself as a leader in Colombia’s laundry market. With a strong reputation for high-quality products, professional hygiene services, and advanced dosing equipment, Tecnoclean also operates in Ecuador through its subsidiary.

For the past six years, Tecnoclean and Christeyns have collaborated to distribute Wet Cleaning products, making this acquisition a natural development of our trusted collaboration. Tecnoclean’s industry expertise and strong customer relationships make them an excellent addition to the Christeyns family. We are eager to build on their knowledge as we continue to deliver top-tier hygiene solutions across the Andean region.

In the words of João Fial, Regional Director for PorLatam: “We are thrilled to welcome Tecnoclean into the Christeyns family officially. Tecnoclean’s market knowledge, strong customer relationships, and commitment to quality will be invaluable as we grow our presence in Andean countries. This acquisition is a key step towards our goal of becoming Latin America’s leading provider of hygiene solutions in the region.”

Carlos Parra, Tecnoclean’s current shareholder, will oversee operations during the transition period, ensuring a seamless handover. His leadership and intimate knowledge of the company will help maintain continuity and success. Tecnoclean’s 46 employees will join Christeyns’ PorLatam region, led by João Fial. We are excited to welcome them to the Christeyns family and continue the legacy of excellence they have shaped in Colombia and Ecuador.
