Christeyns acquires Govi
Belgian Oleochemicals companies joining forces
Ghent – 18 July 2013 – International chemicals group Christeyns proudly announces the take-over of the Belgian company Govi, specialized in engineered process-chemicals for a variety of industries.
GOVI was incorporated in Ghent, Belgium in 1910. With production sites in Belgium (headquarters), Italy and Serbia, the company sells its products worldwide and has built up a solid reputation in the international oleochemicals industry. In 2012, Govi recorded a turnover of about € 31 M with around 30 employees, offering specialized chemicals such as wash emulsions, dust-binding coatings, de-foamers, silicone emulsions, lubricants and many more.
Christeyns CEO Alain Bostoen explains : “With its top quality products and people, Govi represents a perfect complement to our own oleochemicals department, specialised in the development and production of soap formulae for various industries and applications.
