CUK Hiking Team Triumphs in Intercompany Ekiden Challenge
The CUK hiking team has been crowned winner of the Speed Hiking Cup in the annual Christeyns Ekiden Challenge, an international virtual competition that brings together employees from across the Christeyns Group.
The Ekiden Challenge invites colleagues worldwide to form local teams and complete a set distance through hiking, cycling, or running during April. This year’s hiking target was an impressive 420 kilometres, a milestone that the CUK team achieved by Mid April, securing the Speed Hiking Cup and dethroning last year’s champions, Team Hungary.
The achievement was made even more meaningful as the CUK team took on the challenge while raising funds for cancer in memory of their much-missed colleague, who sadly passed away last year. The team’s efforts served as both a tribute to their colleague and a demonstration of the strong sense of community and teamwork that exists across the business.
The victory highlights not only the dedication and determination of the CUK hikers but also their commitment to supporting an important cause.
