Christeyns UK place second in Super Soapbox Challenge

On Sunday 30th April, the Super Soapbox Challenge was held in Bradford, with brave soapbox racers going against the clock at this family, community event.

Participating for the second year, the Christeyns’ Mad Scientists team took to the ramp with their cart fashioned from an IBC, effectively the “soapbox” for industrial laundry, joining a total of 26 teams on the 350m downhill course.

Danny Clark was behind the wheel, supported by colleagues Peter Jackson, Paul Simpson and Justin Kerslake and thanks to an outstanding effort the team came in second, completing the course in a time of 37.12 seconds.

A great day was had by all, the event bringing thousands of people into the centre of Bradford.  Christeyns also supported the event with its sponsorship of the course ramp.  The Christeyns team raised money for Forget Me Not Hospice.
