Christeyns UK helps to support Local Cemetery Restoration

At Christeyns, we are proud to work with our local community and support the areas around us. This week, we helped our sister company Oscrete, who donated surplus aggregate materials from recent technical concrete trials to assist with restoration work at a local cemetery.

Following laboratory trials carried out for customers, Oscrete looked for ways to put leftover materials to good use rather than allow them to go to waste. The surplus aggregate was identified as an ideal resource to support improvements across the cemetery, helping to restore grave areas and pathways throughout the site.

Last week, a team of volunteers from both Christeyns and Oscrete came together to redistribute the aggregate, working hard to improve access routes and enhance the overall appearance of the cemetery grounds. The improvements will not only help visitors navigate the site more easily but will also support ongoing maintenance efforts for those responsible for its upkeep.

The project reflects the shared commitment of both Christeyns and Oscrete to sustainability, waste reduction, and giving back to the communities in which we operate. By finding a practical second use for materials generated during technical trials, we have been able to create a positive impact beyond our day-to-day operations.

While it may seem like a small contribution, the benefits to the local community are significant. We are pleased to have played a part in supporting this worthwhile initiative and hope the improvements will make a meaningful difference to cemetery visitors for years to come.
