Brushing up on our paint skills at local community centre

Staff from Christeyns UK brush up on their painting skills at local community centre.

Christeyns UK, which has its head office on Rutland Street, Bradford, offers its staff members the opportunity to take paid leave in order to volunteer at community related projects and charitable enterprises across the local area.

Seven members of staff spent the day painting the walls, doors and windowsills at Buttershaw Community Centre, which supports young people age 12 to 18 in the Royds Ward of Bradford. The centre runs a series of focus groups and activities to help reduce anti-social behaviour and build confidence.

Luke Dennison from the charity Participate Projects facilitated the day.

“It was a really great, rewarding day, helping to make the centre a lot brighter” commented Lucy Duckworth. Human Resources and Marketing Administrator at Christeyns UK.

Christeyns UK is part of the Christeyns group, based in Ghent, Belgium. Its principle focus is the manufacture and supply of detergents and supporting chemicals for the commercial laundry sector across the UK in which it is the market leader.
