Multi Skilled Engineer Electrical Bias

Christeyns Food Hygiene is looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with great overall knowledge both electrically and mechanically to join our team. As a multi skilled maintenance engineer, you’ll be responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance, Optimising plant performance and assist with our continuous improvement plan of plant and equipment.

Main Duties

  • Install new and upgrade manufacturing plant and equipment on our COMAH site.
    Complete PPMs.
  • Working with sites Permit to work and risk assessment systems.
  • To accurately complete job records on CMMS and update as required.
  • To maintain Liquid transfer systems, relief devices, pumps valves, gaskets etc
  • To assist with the design and maintenance of electrical systems to current specifications and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • To assisted with managing stock.
  • To Maintain and test mechanical safety critical equipment.
  • To identify and implement continuous improvements projects.
  • To put forward improvement recommendations to plant, equipment and working practices were identified.
  • To comply with all Company regulations as detailed in the Christeyns Employment handbook.
  • To comply with company quality/Environmental/ H&S Policies and procedures
    Performs other duties as assigned.

VACANCY

  • Essential Criteria
  • HNC or equivalent in an electrical or multi skilled engineering discipline, hands on experience with demonstratable track record of success.
  • Trained in BS7671.
  • Understanding of Engineering Drawings-Electrical schematics and P&ID`S
  • Experience within a manufacturing setting, ideally from a Chemical background.
  • Familiar with safe systems of work, such as permit to work, hot work, confined space.
  • Computerised Maintenance system experience.
  • ATEX Knowledge/Experience would be an advantage.
  • Awareness of COMAH.
  • Excellent team player and able to work under own initiative.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Desirable Criteria
  • Experience with Stainless Steel Fabrication and Tig welding processes.
  • Installations of Bulk chemical storage vessels and product level systems
  • PLC/HMI Experience would be an advantage.
