Team up for safety – Food Safety is a shared responsibility
At Christeyns Food Hygiene we are committed to supporting World Food Safety Day which will be celebrated this year on June 7th. Over the next couple weeks as we lead up to this day, we will be sharing a series of articles to illustrate the part we play as an organisation; who we are, what we do, how we support our customers in the food manufacturing sector, our technical expertise, as well as sharing valuable resources to support you with your contribution to food safety.
Ensuring the safety of food starts with understanding the complete food supply chain and the varying complexities and elements of control needed to keep the food safe at each stage from farm to fork. Food safety is everyone’s responsibility and Christeyns Food Hygiene makes it their business to truly understand the different food supply chains and the food safety risks along the way. We make it our business to equip and develop our customer facing teams with the knowledge and technical expertise to provide strong added value partnerships with our customers so that we can work together as a team to ensure the food being produced is as safe as it possibly can be.
Our technical support team work 24/7 in tune with our customers shift patterns in the food manufacturing sector to provide support in ensuring the effectiveness of the hygiene management strategy, systems and technical hygiene support needs to help our customers to deliver a robust transformation process for cleaning and disinfecting equipment and production areas efficiently whilst meeting the needs of food safety legislation, customers and 3rd party requirements.
In conjunction with our customers and the partnerships we have formed over 30 years, Christeyns Food Hygiene has developed a strong and effective system of support which provides our customers with the correct knowledge on food soiling, microbiology and hygiene chemicals along with advice, training, application and storage equipment for the safe handling of chemicals and legal compliance on Food Safety and Health & Safety. We pride ourselves on a customer specific bespoke partnership approach which encompasses supporting services such as hygiene related audits, software systems for the creation of cleaning instruction cards and the paperless management of the hygiene function. Our customer facing and central technical teams have expertise in and come from a background in food, dairy and beverage production along with technical and hygiene management so they understand the demands and common issues in the food sector including CIP and membrane hygiene.
The secret recipe for a true hygiene partnership lies in the ability of our dedicated and passionate customers support teams to become part of our customers hygiene and technical function at our customers factory so that they feel part of the team and therefore truly understand the ever-changing needs of the customer.
