Soap powders and needles

Our powders and needles are produced on a state-of-the art installation developed in co-operation with our own engineers. Christeyns uses a continuous saponification process whereby the fatty acids are neutralised with sodium hydroxide to form soap powders or needles. Therefore Christeyns can offer a product with a very homogenous granulometry, i.e. with a very limited content of dust and large particles. This contributes significantly to the customers’ process. Up to three different types of fatty acid can be deployed simultaneously. The powder soaps have on average a density of 500 g/l. The water content varies between 2 % and 5 %.

Applications:

Active ingredient of powder and tablet detergents
Lubricant for steel wire production
Emulsifier in bread additives
Active ingredient of cattle feeds as an alternative to antibiotics
