In line with current market trends, Christeyns will be displaying a range of water and energy saving equipment to back up their products and dosing equipment. The need to look at total process costs has become increasingly apparent as laundries look at ways to keep firm control of the key WECO parameters.
New product developments in Power progress (NTA- and phosphate-free liquid detergent), Mulan intensive (degreasant for surgical textiles) and Selox merino (low temperature liquid detergent for all textiles) will be on show together with the Fluxmaster – a stand-alone liquid dosing system developed by the company for supplying both washer extractors and tunnel washers. The V-Control management information system will also feature on the stand. This control and reporting system can integrate a large range of dosing equipment including third party equipment should this need to be taken over. A new development is also the ability to control heat exchangers via the system.
Energy savings remain a vitally important area and, while details and posters will be available on Christeyns range of heat exchangers, the stand will feature the Steam-X Rotor, a relatively compact piece of equipment capable of using steam condensate to heat water in tunnel washers. In addition the new Heat-X Air will be on show. This novel development offers very significant savings by using the otherwise wasted hot exhaust air from the ironers at temperatures of up to 120°C to heat the mainwash water to the required temperature (e.g. 70°C) and then circulating a second time to heat the rinse water.
Another development when planning new laundries is the ‘steamless’ laundry. Christeyns has already helped instal this concept for smaller laundries but will show the plans for a new laundry that is currently being built to wash 15-20 tonnes per day in tunnel washers. Water savings remain equally important and the Lint-X Regain water filtration system will be on view. This low maintenance system allows recycling for both tunnel washers and washer extractors and has been successfully installed in a number of large laundries across Europe over the past two years.
Also on display will be the Vort-X Cyclone unit that is used for filtering sand and large particles from effluent in mat-washing laundries and thus both allowing water recycling within the wash process and also removal of a large amount of sand and grit from the effluent.
The Sanoxy system and more recent Sanoxy Plus system continues to be rolled out and with over 300 tunnel washers now converted or manufactured with this system a detailed summary of the benefits being achieved with the system will also be on display.
Christeyns will have technical representatives from 15 countries available on the stand to give advice on all the above equipment as well as their full technical support package now available across all of Europe.
