Christeyns (UK) Ltd, part of a €133 mio Belgian chemical group will require a Managing Director for their UK and Ireland operation. Currently employing about 110 employees in the UK, the company produces an extensive range of chemical products including laundry detergents, cleaning products and concrete admixtures. It also develops, manufactures and sells dosing equipment and also water and energy management systems.

Job description

• First and foremost you will need to be an entrepreneur with a primary responsibility for the development and growth of the global business.
• You will have an overall responsibility for the production plant in Bradford. The emphasis will be on maximising manufacturing efficiency whilst maintaining customer satisfaction in terms of quality and service.
• Candidates will be expected to have excellent people management skills, not only to develop the existing management team, but to maintain and develop good customer relations.
• You will have total profit and loss responsibility for all operations in the UK and Ireland

Profile

• Candidates must have a degree in engineering plus an MBA or equivalent.
• You will have already attained a senior management position or directorship and have a proven track record in the management of a multidisciplinary team.
• You will be required to live in the Leeds/Bradford area.
