Environment Policy Statement

As a manufacturer of detergents, soaps and cognate chemicals, Christeyns attaches great importance to protecting the environment in which we live. Besides integral environmental care, Christeyns wishes to establish a policy, programmes and procedures for environmentally conscious business operations. Christeyns has implemented an environmental care system with the objective of supporting the competitive organisation to increase customer satisfaction. In particular, Christeyns continually evaluates and improves its policy with a view to the future.

Scope: research and development, production, sales, distribution and after-sales service of washing powders, liquid detergents.  Sales and after-sales of dosing equipment.

In specific terms, Christeyns endorses the following policy objectives:

• compliance with the environmental legislation. Compliance with all legal stipulations and, where appropriate, implementation of programmes and processes to surpass the legal requirements;
• monitoring the company’s environmental performance with the aim of constantly improving it;
• limiting nuisance for the environment and living environment, taking the best available and financially viable technologies into account;
• developing products, processes and environmental performances and striving to expand the environmental benefits of its products, with the aim of diminishing the general burden on the environment;
• providing all employees with the relevant training and following up all arrangements with all employees;
• providing all the required resources;
• developing targeted control resources (such as management’s annual evaluation) and applying all the necessary means of communication to ensure that this policy is followed;
• access for our customers to the information concerning the environmental impact of our products.

This environmental policy statement was approved in a management committee meeting and was communicated to all employees.

This environmental policy statement is available to the general public and, if requested, will be provided by the environmental operations manager.
