Chriox
CHRISTEYNS has harnessed the cleansing and disinfecting effects of vinegar in its
concentrated, oxygenated form. Known as peracetic acid, this material has been used
to produce a range of wide spectrum, fast-acting disinfectant products called CHRIOX.
Since peracetic acid rapidly decomposes into acetic acid (vinegar), oxygen and water
once in contact with microorganisms, it leaves no harmful residue after use.
Research by the French and Dutch Governments (AFSSA document 25.7.2007) has identified
problems with residual cleaning materials in foods such as cream. These problems
can be eliminated using CHRIOX technology.
The technology behind CHRIOX has been used for many years in the food & beverage
and laundry industry as a less aggressive and more ecological bleaching and disinfectant
agent. These benefits have been brought to hand hygiene and surface sanitising in
the CHRIOX range, containing only one disinfectant substance: peracetic acid.
Due to its balanced, advanced formulation CHRIOX can be used where cleanliness and
disinfection are critical (hospitals, schools, catering establishments, food processing
plants) whilst being kind to the environment.
- Safety: CHRIOX products do not contain quaternary ammonium, alcohol, aldehyde or
chlorine bleach, they are completely non-flammable and safe for transport and frequent
use.
- Health: After application the residues (water, acetic acid, oxygen) leave food preparation
areas safe to use and do not require additional rinsing.
- Environment: The CHRIOX product range rapidly decomposes after use and is not hazardous
to human health or the environment.
- Efficiency: Used at low doses, the CHRIOX range is highly effective in rapidly destroying
micro-organisms.
