Besides the oleochemicals unit, Christeyns' chemicals division also comprises the
peracetic acid unit.
This division plays a leading role in both product groups based on modern and automated
production processes. It is essential to respond on short term to questions from
customers and to develop customised formulae. Christeyns intends to offer added
value regarding product quality, application know-how and flexibility.
Oleochemicals
Whether used as process chemicals, additives or raw materials, in recent years oleochemicals
have become of extreme importance to various industries. Christeyns plays a leading
role in the development and production of soap formulae used in these industries
in various applications.
An extensive spectrum of vegetable and animal fatty acids are neutralised to form
"process integrated“ chemicals. Christeyns offers the unique possibility of supplying
these products in different physical forms like powders, liquids, flakes, noodles
and dispersions.
These products are manufactured to the most stringent standards regarding choice
of raw materials, production and quality control.
Besides a wide range of standard products, Christeyns can offer custom-made formulae
for any application in any industry.
Chriox peracetic acid
Chriox peracetic acid is a highly effective bleaching agent and biocide. Driven
by environmental and hygiene legislation, applications and uses are continuously
increasing. Since May 2000, the marketing and use of biocides is regulated in the
European Union and the product type has to be notified. Christeyns is a member of
the Cefic Peracetic Acid Registration (PAR) Group that has notified peracetic acid
(CAS Nr 79-21-0; EC Nr 201-186-8) as an active substance in the framework of the
Biocidal Products Directive.
