Financial Accountant/Controller - Milan region, Italy

Christeyns is a Belgian detergents and chemicals group active in a range of international markets and completely focused on the B-2-B environment. The company has been transformed from a local business into a modern, professionally managed operation still privately owned by an entrepreneur. With its head office located in Ghent, Belgium, the group employs about 500 people in subsidiaries spread across 20 countries. In the last 10 years Christeyns has enjoyed a rapid growth in the region of 20% per year, and now has a consolidated turnover of about 140 million Euro. In Italy, Christeyns actually has a turnover of 14 million Euro, and employs about 40 people, with an objective to grow in the near future.

In order to strengthen its finance and administration department, Christeyns Italy (Milan region) is seeking a:

Financial Accountant/Controller

The position:

You will have an overall responsibility for administration and finance. You will have full ownership of the balance sheet and P&L, for the Christeyns subsidiaries in Italy.
Your responsibility will include the accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts and period-end financial statements.
Budgeting, forecasting as well as an in-depth business insight and acumen, will help you to play a pivotal role in supporting the management team and in driving business growth.
You will oversee working capital and have responsibility for the company’s cash flow, including cash collection, suppliers payment, VAT returns, etc…. as well as for the financial aspects of inventory control.
You will report directly to the Managing Director of Christeyns Italy, and functionally to the Group Financial Controller in Ghent.

The candidate:

You will have a higher education with a solid basis of finance and accounting.
You will have several years of experience in a finance department of an internationally operating company, or as a consultant within one major consulting company.
You will have a good competency in written and verbal English as the company language.

Christeyns NV in Gent werd ruim 60 jaar geleden opgericht en is uitgegroeid tot een internationaal georganiseerde detergenten en chemicaliën groep met 500 medewerkers, actief in meer dan 20 landen en een omzet van 142 miljoen euro. De producten van het bedrijf vinden hun afzet in o.a. de wasserijen,
de oleochemie, de industrie,… Christeyns is een partner geworden bij optimalisatieprojecten in engineering, energiebeheer,

Area Manager, hygiënesystemen voor de voedingsindustrie - Gent, België

Uw Functie:

Je bent in de eerste plaats een commerciële gangmaker die de markt van de “food & beverage bedrijven” op een actieve manier bewerkt in Vlaanderen en de Benelux en dit op het vlak van reinigingssystemen en hygiëneproblematiek in het algemeen.
Je staat in voor het bewerken van mogelijke prospecten, dit vnl. bij de vleesverwerkende bedrijven, brouwerijen, zuivelproducenten,…. Je verzorgt de uitbouw van de relatie en wordt aanspreekpunt bij het opvolgen en controleren van de servicecontracten.
Je onderscheidt je door de combinatie van een “hands on approach” enerzijds en het vermogen om productkennis ook te vertalen in bredere reiniging- en/of hygiënestrategieën bij de klant. Je start samen met de klant projecten op op het vlak van hygiëne en desinfectie
Je staat in nauw contact met het centrale labo, de productie, de commerciële binnendienst en koppelt marktinformatie terug aan het food & beverage hygiene team. Je rapporteert aan de Corporate Manager Food & Beverage.

Uw Profiel:

Je hebt een hogere opleiding of bent gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
Je hebt minstens een saleservaring van vijf jaar.
Je hebt een stevige kennis van reinigingsprocessen in de voedingsindustrie.
Jouw kennis van het Engels en het Frans is snel weer op niveau.

Job Description
We are seeking reinforcement with one extra person who will be active mainly in Denmark. Your main tasks will be installations, repairs and service reviews of the dosing systems and water- and energy recovery systems, process monitoring and programming of laundering processes in Denmark.

You will be active in customer acquisition and make commercial presentations and offers to potential customers.
The job involves many days of travel in Denmark and abroad, about 50 hotel nights per year.

Experience and Education
You have relevant technical training. You have already worked with similar tasks.
An advantage is if you have good electronic skills. You also have experience of external customers and service in the field. It is also an advantage if you are comfortable with speaking to groups and training people. We prefer that you have experience from the industrial laundry environment.

Danish is your mother tongue and you can communicate well in English. You have a driver’s license.

Arbetsbeskrivning
Christeyns Nordic i Sverige behöver förstärkning med ytterligare en servicetekniker. Dina huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter kommer att vara installationer, reparationer och servicegenomgångar av doseringssystem och vatten-och energiåtervinningssystem samt processuppföljningar av tvättprocesser i Sverige. Tjänsten innebär många resdagar i Sverige och även utomlands, ca 50 övernattningar per år.

Erfarenheter och utbildning
Du har relevant teknisk utbildning, dock minst tekniskt gymnasium. Du har arbetat med liknande arbetsuppgifter.

Meriterande är om du har god elektronisk kunskap. Du har vidare erfarenhet av externa kunder och service på fältet. Det är även meriterande om du är bekväm med att tala inför grupp och hålla utbildning.
Vi ser gärna att du har erfarenhet i den industriella tvättbranschen.
Du har goda kunskaper i engelska samt innehar B-körkort.
